Cheese crackers

Cheese Crackers

Makes about 20–25 crackers
These crunchy, cheesy crackers are perfect for meal prep — ideal for snacking, pairing with dips, or adding to packed lunches!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese

  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

  • Garlic powder to taste

  • Onion powder to taste

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 4 tbsp cold butter, cubed

  • 3–4 tbsp cold water (as needed)

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (fan-forced). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

  2. In a food processor or large bowl, combine the flour, grated cheddar, parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and paprika.

  3. Add the cold, cubed butter and pulse or cut in with a pastry cutter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. Gradually add cold water, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough starts to come together.

  5. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and roll it out to about 1/8 inch thick.

  6. Use a cookie cutter or knife to cut the dough into cracker-sized shapes.

  7. Place the crackers on the prepared baking tray and poke a hole in the center of each with a fork (this helps them bake evenly).

  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.

  9. Let the crackers cool completely on the tray before storing.

Enjoy xx
