Cheese crackers
Cheese Crackers
Makes about 20–25 crackers
These crunchy, cheesy crackers are perfect for meal prep — ideal for snacking, pairing with dips, or adding to packed lunches!
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Garlic powder to taste
Onion powder to taste
1/4 tsp salt
4 tbsp cold butter, cubed
3–4 tbsp cold water (as needed)
Method
Preheat your oven to 180°C (fan-forced). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a food processor or large bowl, combine the flour, grated cheddar, parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and paprika.
Add the cold, cubed butter and pulse or cut in with a pastry cutter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Gradually add cold water, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough starts to come together.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and roll it out to about 1/8 inch thick.
Use a cookie cutter or knife to cut the dough into cracker-sized shapes.
Place the crackers on the prepared baking tray and poke a hole in the center of each with a fork (this helps them bake evenly).
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.
Let the crackers cool completely on the tray before storing.
Enjoy xx
