Immunity Gummies
Immunity Gummies
We’re deep in our gummy era over here—and if the kids are going to eat 12 a day, they may as well help fight off winter bugs! These are packed with vitamin C, gentle on little tummies, and surprisingly fun to make.
Makes: Around 20 small gummies
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Chill Time: 1 hour
Ingredients
1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice (about 3–4 oranges)
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp honey (or more to taste)
A small knob of fresh ginger, finely grated
2–4 tbsp gelatin powder (I used Nutra Organics – adjust based on how firm you like them)
Method
1. Juice it all
Juice the oranges and lemon straight into a small saucepan. Add the honey and freshly grated ginger. Give it a good stir and gently warm the mixture over low heat—just enough to dissolve everything.
💡 Don’t let it boil—we want to keep all those cold-fighting nutrients intact.
2. Add the gelatin
Sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the warm juice and whisk continuously until completely dissolved. This can take a minute or two—just keep whisking until smooth and lump-free.
3. Mould and chill
Pour the mixture into silicone moulds (fun shapes make them extra exciting for kids!) or a small lined tray. Place in the fridge to set for about 1 hour, or until firm.
4. Store
Pop the gummies out of the moulds or cut into cubes if you used a tray. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Notes + Tips
The more gelatin you use, the firmer they’ll be. I usually do 3 tbsp for soft-chew texture.
Skip the honey for babies under 1 year.
These are also great made with blood oranges or a splash of pineapple juice for a twist.
I like to double the batch and pour it into different moulds for a mix of shapes and sizes—makes it more fun for the kids..
